What is meditation?

Meditation is a tool for rediscovering your body’s own inner intelligence. Practiced for thousands of years, it’s not about forcing the mind to be quiet, it’s finding the silence that’s already there and making it a part of your life.
Silence is the birthplace of happiness, creativity and infinite possibilities. From this field of pure potentiality we get our bursts of inspiration, our most intuitive thoughts, and our deepest sense of connection to the Universe. Practicing meditation on a daily basis allows you to weave silence and stillness into your mind and body to create a life of greater compassion and fulfillment. Meditation is a journey to the center of our very being; a journey to emotional freedom; and a journey to the reawakening of our unconditioned self.
Private Meditation Instruction
I encourage all of my clients to learn and practice some form of daily meditation. So often people tell me that they can’t meditate, that they can’t quiet their minds or sit still, or that they don’t know where to begin. I believe that EVERYONE can meditate. It is just a matter of being properly educated and finding the type of meditation that works best for you. There are many types of meditation and all can be effective. I will work with you to design a "custom" meditation practice that is best for your personality and lifestyle.
Meditation Coaching
Take your meditation practice to the next level! Wendy will work with you to lock down and elevate your daily practice. She will share advanced techniques, life tools and other spiritual practices that will assist you in creating the healthy, abundant and joyful life that you desire. These coaching sessions are for individuals, couples or families that have already taken meditation instruction with Wendy or another teacher or want an introductory lesson or guidance for their existing practice.
Group Instruction (Including Guided Meditations, Silent Meditations, Sound Meditations)
These classes are suitable for beginning meditators as well as experienced meditators who want to share the “group” guided meditation experience. You do not require any prior experience with meditation to attend. We spend time at the beginning and end of class for instruction and discussion. Guided Meditation Classes are offered online via Zoom as well as in our Mt. Pleasant, SC studio. Click HERE for calendar. Nakshatra Mantra Meditation Instruction
This is the type of meditation that I currently practice every day. It is an easy to use technique taught to me by davidji. In mantra meditation, we use the repetition of a word or phrase to disconnect us from the activity around us—the thoughts, sounds, and physical sensations that are a part of every moment we are alive. Nakshatra (pronounced NAK-SHATRA) Mantra Meditation, specifically, is a very powerful practice for moving into the stillness and silence within.
